SEPTEMBER 2024
A return to class — but with cultivated irreverence. The collection I conceptualized built on best-in-class tailoring, heritage knits, and elevated sportswear, celebrating the enduring allure of prep while twisting its codes. Lux materials reinterpreted athletic tropes, and paradoxical styling injected energy and ease. For this collection, I embraced the brand’s provenance of prep but played with it - nodding to varsity nostalgia while rewriting the rules.
Shot by Theo Wenner in Central Park, the ensuing editorial celebrated J.Crew’s heritage as an iconic New York retailer, reframing classic prep through a modern, personal lens. Wenner’s intimate, cinematic style captured the tension between polish and ease: wind-tousled hair, a hint of a summer tan line, tennis shoes with tailored suiting, and shirts left deliberately untucked. The result is both referential and refreshingly current.
A love letter to the brand’s origins and its ongoing evolution, this campaign bridges heritage and modernity - a confident stride into fall, with the insouciance of summer still lingering in the air.
