J.Crew’s April 2024 editorial was envisioned as a wanderlust-fueled vacation capsule, timed to coincide with Spring Break. Focused on breezy linens and swimwear, the collection set an optimistic tone for the warmer months ahead. As part of my creative direction, I proposed a tropical destination in Central America, which came to life through an editorial shoot in Baja Sur. The lifestyled destination story drew inspiration from J.Crew’s archival Departures catalogs - which were reintroduced at my suggestion as part of the brand’s heritage revival. To bring depth and dynamism to the editorial, we included Crewcuts, creating a family-centric narrative that celebrated J.Crew’s legacy of spirited, lifestyle-driven storytelling.
